ABOUT

“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of place could be photographed.”

- Annie Leibovitz

I was born and raised in New England in a small town in Western Massachusetts. I have always had a passion for art and the people who changed and challenged our ideas of what it is to be human throughout the centuries! My favorite movement in painting has always been the Hudson River School, with artists like Albert Bierstadt, with his way of depicting the world as though you are in heaven, or Thomas Cole, creating dramatic scenes like in ’The Oxbow”, a painting set in my home town. It was in these that I found my path in Nature Photography, and discovering the works of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston with their captures of the mountainous terrains out west.

So, when I graduated high school, I decided to attend college for Photography, primarily in Film Photography and Alternative Processing, and now have my BFA in Photo from the University of Hartford’s, Hartford Art School. But, it was there that I also fell in love with food photography and discovered that this was what I wanted to do with my life. Because of my love of food and beverage I wanted to round out my education and palate and learn how to really cook, so I went on to attend the Culinary Institute of America where I received my Associates in Culinary Arts from their Greystone campus in Napa Valley, California. While there I was also able to try some of the most delicious food I have ever had and got to photograph! After graduating I was fortunate to be offered a position working at the CIA both at their main campus in Hyde Park, NY as an extern, and then back in California at their two campus’s in Napa as their Content Marketing Coordinator and Photographer, working with amazing chef’s and incredibly talented student chef’s.

After being out west for four years and having wonderful experiences, I decided to move back East in 2024 to be closer to my family as they relocated to Greenville, South Carolina where I am so happy and proud to now call home!

MY WORK

There’s nothing I love more than working with people trying to make their vision come true. The first thing I always like to do is to get to know you and what you’re trying to say, whether it be for your website, cookbook, or content for your social media.

There are many styles and looks that I can give. Do you own a bakery and you want your food to look light and airy like sitting down for that first cup of coffee in the early morning? Or do you have a speakeasy style cocktail lounge and want your drink to look moody and lit by candlelight! Whatever style it may be I would love to work with you in creating images that you can use over again and on many platforms.
